I gave Claude Code 637 motion effects. Watch what it made
A free motion field guide for AI agents let Claude Code pick effects and code a whole showcase.
Awesome AI Motion is a free, open-source motion field guide written for AI agents. It covers 637 effects, 128 rendered clips and 11 recipes across kinetic type, transitions, charts, 3D depth, generative art, UI motion and AI explainers.
I handed it to an AI coding agent and asked for a showcase. The agent read the library, picked effects to fit each idea and wrote every animation as code. No editing timeline, no After Effects. The clips were rendered straight from that code, and the soundtrack was generated to match.
What you see in the video:
- Kinetic type: beat-synced words, text scramble, giant-letter zoom-through
- Transitions: whip pan, iris, zoom-through, blinds, glitch, 3D grid flip
- Live charts: bar-chart race, radar morph, waterfall, an exponential curve, progress rings
- 3D and depth: coverflow, card fans, infinite zoom
- Generative: flow fields, halftone waves, ink-bleed reveals
- AI explainers: how an LLM picks its next word, context windows, agent loops, word vectors
- UI motion: drag-and-drop, accordions, modals, spotlights
To try it, give your agent the library, describe the scene and what it should help people understand, let it pick effects and write the animation, then render, check the frames and iterate.
The catch: the chart numbers are illustrative demo data, not real statistics. The library is a toolbox; you still need an agent and a renderer (I used Claude Code with HyperFrames). Good results took review rounds, with the agent checking its own frames and fixing layering, timing and overlap.
