The Hottest New AI Agent Tool Is... a Big Arrow
bigarrow is a free Mac tool that lets Claude Code or Codex draw a giant labeled arrow over the exact button you need to click. It deliberately can’t click, type, or capture your screen. It only points.
Why that matters: some steps should only ever be done by you.
- Allowing an app permission
- Signing in with Google or another account
- Two-factor codes and passkeys
- Payments and signatures
The agent stops, points, writes a note like “Click Allow,” and continues once you’ve clicked. It can even read the note out loud if you’ve walked away.
It hit about 410 points and almost 200 comments on Hacker News, and over 600 GitHub stars within days.
The fine print: it’s Mac only for now, and not everyone was sold. Some commenters called it overkill, others worried scammers could abuse arrows like this.
The real signal: the best agents don’t do everything. They know when to stop and hand you the controls.
