ChatGPT Slides lets you build and present decks without leaving ChatGPT
OpenAI's slide builder turns a chat, file or outline into a deck you can edit with teammates. Plus users are left out.
OpenAI has added Slides to ChatGPT, announced October 16, a slide builder inside its Space workspace. You can start a deck from an existing conversation, an uploaded file or a plain outline, and you can hand it an example deck to copy the style.
Once the deck exists, you can click into text, images, shapes and charts to change them by hand, or ask ChatGPT to make the change. Teammates can edit the same deck at the same time and leave comments. You can present from inside ChatGPT, and on the web export to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides.
The catch: It is limited to Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts that have Space access, so $20 Plus subscribers can’t use it yet. Both reports rest on OpenAI’s release notes and give no full rollout timeline. Check generated slides for wrong facts and chart labels before you present.
Try this prompt
With access, ask ChatGPT in Space for a deck. Without it, the same prompt gives you a slide outline in any chat.
Turn the notes below into a [number]-slide deck for [audience, e.g. my team]. Give each slide a short title and no more than three bullets. Add one slide at the end with next steps and owners. Notes: [paste notes]
Use cases
- A shop owner could turn a monthly sales summary into a short team update.
- A freelancer could turn a call transcript into a client proposal deck.
- A teacher could try an outline of a lesson as a first-draft slide set.
